WHERE THE SPIRIT IS ALIVE

Prayer

 PRAYER REQUESTS
Please forward your prayer requests to  the church number at 973 398 0846
Please be as specific as you can. God bless you. We will assume you wish your prayer request forwarded to our prayer chain, unless you indicate a desire otherwise.

Please pray each day for West Side, and for the community of believers who gather there. West Side needs your prayers.

We do not cease to pray for you and your spiritual growth, and for God’s blessings upon you.

Bring to God all that is in your heart.

Prayers can’t be answered unless they are prayed.

SPEAK WITH GOD. IF YOU DON’T, HOW DOES GOD KNOW YOU CARE?

You learn to pray by praying.

Don’t worry about exact wording, or phrasing. Talk with God.
God has a plan and you are part of the plan. How will you know what it is? Is your prayer life intimate and on-going?

Jesus instructed us to pray, “Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.” At the center of the Lord’s prayer, which Jesus taught us to recite, lurks the unnatural act of forgiveness. - - Jesus hinged God’s forgiveness on our willingness to forgive unjust acts.
Phillip Yancy, “What is so amazing about grace”

Every morning surrender you life to Jesus. When you pray for yourself or others do you ask God to help you and them become more like God? Do you seek to grow in the Fruit of the Spirit: Love: Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Gentleness, Generosity, Faithfulness and Self-control.

God has a plan, and you are part of that plan. How do you know what it is?

GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR “PRAYER LIFE”?
LET’S ALL AGREE THAT WE WILL PRAY EACH DAY FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES. 15 MINUTES ISN’T MUCH OF THE DAY.
IN THE MORNING COMMIT THE DAY TO JESUS. ASK FOR GUIDANCE AND FOR STRENGTH TO LIVE AS JESUS WOULD HAVE YOU LIVE
AT NOON RECOMMIT THE DAY TO JESUS
IN THE EVENING BEFORE YOU GO TO SLEEP THANK JESUS FOR BEING WITH YOU THAT DAY. SPEAK WITH JESUS ABOUT “HOW THE DAY WENT”.
